SUMMARY:Lunch & Learn Presentation/Discussion - 2020 MN Fire Code\, 2024 (IFC) & Projected 2026 codes.
DESCRIPTION:Minnesota is required to adopt a new State Fire Code every 6 years.  2026 is a Minnesota code adoption year.  To prepare for this future code change\, our topic this month will be an overview of the changes between the 2020 Minnesota State Fire Code and the 2024 International Fire Code. We would like to present a direct comparison between the 2020 Minnesota State Fire Code and the new 2026 code however\, a draft of the 2026 code has not been released.  A public comment date or adoption date for this code has not been set. The 2026 Minnesota State Fire code will be based on the 2024 International Fire Code so we will reference this code in our presentation.  There are some significant changes that we will be discussing.  We hope they you will join us for lunch\, networking with your peers in the Minnesota fire alarm community and some important code information. \nPresenter  Dan Morehead \n\nBoard Member MNAFAA\nMNAFAA Representative on the 2026 Minnesota State Fire Chief’s Association Code Committee\nNICET Level IV in Fire Alarm Systems\nOver 25 years in the fire alarm industry
