Presentation: The Joint Commission – From an Owner’s and Installer/Vendor’s Perspective, by Chris Liedman and Jordan Barnes:

This presentation will provide a view of interactions with The Joint Commission, both from an owner’s standpoint and from a installer/vendor’s standpoint. This will cover the general requirements that must be met and will list the process of the inspections and compliance requirements.

Chris began his career in building automation and transitioned into commissioning, retrocommissioning and Owner's Rep services; serving many of our local healthcare facilities along the way. Currently, Chris is the Senior Operations Manager of Engineering and Maintenance at Park Nicollet. In his 4 years there, as the Life Safety and Environment of Care chapter leader, he has survived two surveys by The Joint Commission and a follow-up survey by the State Fire Marshals' office.

Jordan Barnes with Custom Alarm is now in his 10th year in the fire and security industry. From Rochester, Minnesota, Jordan has the privilege of working with one of the largest Healthcare providers in the nation. He works closely with Facilities Directors in Rochester and within the Regional Health Systems to assure compliance in regards to Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems.
